Charles Makley (AKA Charles McGray and Fat Charles) was the elder statesman of Harry Pierpont's Terror Gang and was often cited as being the mild mannered, thoughtful, consiegliere of the Gang.  Charles was never arrested for a crime until the age of 33.  From that point, however, the crime spree and the subsequent arrests quickly grew.  

Makley was the experienced bank robber Harry Pierpont needed when forming his Terror Gang and planning future bank robberies.  Makley had the knowledge, the experience, and the courage to be a valuable member of the Gang.

Makley would remain by Harry Pierpont's side until the very end.
